[Gtk-sharp-list] Gtk# + mono + visual studio + linux/mac (share experience?)

Hello all,

Here's the thing. I want to be able to write small to medium desktop apps
and run it on mac and linux. I'm trying to decide if mono/gtk# is a good
combination for me. 

I wonder if anybody tried developing cross-platform GTK application with
Mono in Visual Studio?

Did you use glade?
Did you use mono-tools plugin?
What were the most painful points/hindrances in your development process?
Where you had to make compromises?
Did you blog about your experience or can refer to some blog you find
useful/interesting? 
Anything else that you wish somebody have told you before you marched into
this.

Any input is highly appreciated!
