[Gtk-sharp-list] textview widget

[mono_pupil]

Hi I am new with mono and managed to create a windowform with a textview
widget.
In my C# program I want to enter some lines of text in the Textview. 
I tried to do textview1.Text=" some text ";
But that gave an error. 
So how do I enter text in a textview?
And where can I find information like properties and methods for this and
other widgets?

My testprogram has a using System and using Gtk at the top.
