[Gtk-sharp-list] Custom Marquee Control Development Questions

I've got a .NET Marquee Control that I wrote in C# and would like to now port
it to GTK# so I can use it with Mono.  I'm having a hard time getting up to
speed on GTK# control development.  Does anyone have any suggestions for
resources to help me get started?  Or, how about a recommendation on what
control I should inherit from?  Any suggestions would be greatly
appreciated.
