[Gtk-sharp-list] absolute mouse position and event

I'm making a dll to use 
mplayer with mono and gtk. I need to get the mouse 
events on a drawingarea but the application does not
 return the mouse clicks only a few times. I wanted to know if there
 is a way to get absolute position of mouse pointer and the buttons event
