Please note that the version on that page is seriously outdated and buggy.  
You can get the latest version here at Sourceforge  
(http://sourceforge.net/projects/taoframework/), which is much less buggy  
but still somewhat outdated (only goes up to GL 2.1). Do check your  
package manager, it should be there.

Additionally, there's a more modern alternative in the form of OpenTK  
(http://www.opentk.com) and GLWidget  
(http://www.opentk.com/project/glwidget) which goes all the way up to GL  
3.2 and has a much saner API.
