[Gtk-sharp-list] Gtk.Image, Gdk.Image, Gdk.Pixbuf, Gdk.Pixmap - can't figure it out

Hi again!

I'm startig to get confused, because there are so many similar-sounding
image related classes in gtk. 
What I'm looking for is an offscreen image class, which can be
manipulated (drawing geometrical figures for example) and later be
displayed by a Gtk.Image. 
Gtk.Pixbuf sounds right to me, but I can't find out how display it by my
Gtk.Image object.
