I commented on the bug, but I suspect some of the problems you
encountered were from using the 2.0 SDK to build gtk-sharp.
We've been doggedly going along trying to avoid 2.0 features in
gtk-sharp since its inception because we wanted to be able to continue
to support 1.x. With Mono 2.0 quickly approaching, I don't know how
much longer this will need to be.

Sweet. This is great. I have zero experience here, but I see you found
brad's email for the cc list. Once you have something, we can probably
host it either on mono-project.com or on the gtk-sharp sourceforge
project if you'd like.
