[Gtk-sharp-list] lightweight database suggestions

Hi,
I'm interested in embedding a database in my GTK# desktop application 
(not a server).
I'd like it to be not-standalone, cross-platform, lightweight and 
zero-configuration,
in order to ease installation and usage. I looked up SQLite and it looks 
great,
but I'm a newbye and I'd like some expert advice.

Is SQLite a good choice? Any other suggestion?
