Thank you, Victor and Juanval.

2006/3/17, Jorge Monsalvo <jm_tecno2002 at yahoo.com.ar>:

Can somebody point me to the right direction to get a function to
use?. I remember that in C with plain gtk I used "g_locale_from_utf8"
function, but I can't find something like that in Gtk#.

Thanks to you all

Sure, Jorge.

Your problem might not be in your own app, but in the way it opens the MySQL
connection. In PostgreSQL, I used to run into similar problems until I added
";Encoding=UNICODE" to my connection string. So, what I would suggest you on
doing is to search the MySQL documentation for the way to tell it you will
use UNICODE strings to talk to it, not ISO-8859-1 or ISO-8859-15.

Jesus bless you,
