So I am, just use one of Bitrock's installers from
http://http://www.bitrock.com/products_installbuilder_overview.html .
The installer Mono uses across platforms is a Bitrock installer. You
could have your app and Mono packaged in a single .MSI, and your
teachers don't even have to know you installed Mono along with your
app. ;-)

The alternative, installing your package directly on .NET should be
possible too, but you may need to contact Bitrock directly.
