Many of the more obscure bits of the Gnome namespace in gtk# haven't
been tested that much, so it's entirely possible that it just doesn't
work right now. What are you having problems with?

Yes, GtkIconView is the successor to GnomeIconList. As to whether or not
you should wait, that depends on whether or not your app can wait until
Gtk# 2 has been released.
