I know one thing that could increase the number of developers that will use
GTK# instead of SWF even for Windows applications.

Have a graphical window editor for GTK# (like the form editors for SWF). I
know there’s one under development, but still useful to point out.
In the best case scenario this editor would be available as a plugin for both
MonoDevelop and SharpDevelop (and perhaps even VS.NET).
And of course I’m not talking about glade.

Right now I can’t afford to use GTK#, even though I want to.
