sorry for not responding earlier, I actually got this working after
zapping *something*, be it re-installing my SVN MD, zapping
~/.config/MonoDevelop, or something else. For some reason this got
gtksourceview-sharp to stop returning a list full of null entries from
SourceLanguagesManager.AvailableLanguages.

stupid serendipity/computer goblins.
