[Gtk-sharp-list] GUI event

Once thread and GUI.
I base my work on:

It the first example call =22Updating the GUI from secondary threads=22

Like in the example on the web page. It is working if i only call Console.=
Writeline() from the GUi fct receving the event.
Then I try a access some variables with Console.Writeline in my class, it'=
s works, but the gui is not refreshing.
Then I finally add the 2 lines below. and it doesn't work anymore.
I mean both thread freeze.

 while( Application.EventsPending() )
    Application.RunIteration();

My question, how do i refresh the GUI from a event.
