I strongly recommend that you do NOT install the gtk+ DLLs and its
dependencies in System32.
If you need the DLLs in the PATH, append the directory name to the PATH
environment variable.
I like the way Gonzalo is creating the windows installers. They are
self-contained which is enterprise friendly. When you start putting
DLLs into System32, you make the admins job harder. :-)
Cheers,
Daniel

Yes, I am not sure what the goal of yours is though. This one installer
will allow gtk# based apps to run at the click
of a button (ok maybe 2 clicks). It installs all the gtk# libs to the
windows global assembly. It will
also install all the GTK+ dlls into the windows system32 folder and
shortcuts to documentation, web site and examples. This is for Windows
.NET runtime, not Mono.
While this hasn't been officially announced yet, it's be discussed on
#mono and mentioned in the release notes
(http://www.go-mono.com/archive/beta2/beta2.html#changes) :
...Applications built using GTK# will run on many platforms including
Linux, Microsoft Windows (with our Microsoft Windows GTK+/GTK# runtime
support) and Apple MacOS X...
We can probably merge the efforts to deliver the best installer
possible.

Do you mean someone at Novell is doing this? If so, I would like to know
so I don't waste my time doing it myself. The same applies to anyone
else that is doing it. I have a new installer ready for the next
release, by the way.
