man, i would *love* this. I don't know how much time I have currently to
help out, but maybe in the future I could devote some time to things.
(i'm working on gritting my teeth on GTK# by writing a Go GUI
currently).

I hope this does take off, because a good GUI for octave is something
that's been lacking for ages now. Cheers!
