[Gtk-sharp-list] RE: Mono Kickstart Book

Thank you for the pointers. I'm having fun with the book. I'm trying to
learn C# on Windows and Linux at the same time, so it's interesting to
compare. I'm also have fun trying to figure out how to run the dated code
in the Mono Kick Start book, because some of it will not run on newer
versions of Mono (Npgsql is now required for the PostgreSQL examples). I
can see how Mono is changing so rapidly that it would take web sites instead
of books to keep up with it. By the time I learn C# on Windows, I imagine
that it will be running fairly smoothly on Linux. I'm really just trying to
avoid learning PHP for Linux web applications. I've been forced into
learning some PHP and MySQL, but I'd rather concentrate on C# with
PostgreSQL on Linux (although, I've got a long way to go before I get
proficient).
