[Gtk-sharp-list] Problem with selections

Hi all,
I would like to implement a "select all" method in a
simple text editor, but i really cant understand how
to create a selection an make the text view show it.
I have read the gtk+ documentation but since i have no
knoledge of c (and just a bit of c-sharp as you see) i
dont understand it with atoms,targets,types and so on.
so...
-could anyone lead me to a site where i can read a
explanation with a simple example
- or tell me more or less which steps i must go?
