The standard answer is, of course, "When it's ready."

My understanding is that people have already run Gtk# applications on OS
X with mint.  I may be confusing OSX with PPC linux though.

To my knowledge, the only thing blocking *serious* Gtk# usage on OS X is
a completed ppc jit implementation.  When that's expected is a question
for mono-list.
