I've noticed that Mono seems to use more memory on start-up and this 
number decreases after a while. I'm not sure if this is inherent to Mono 
or specific to my application. I guess the garbage collection may be 
responsible for this ?

But comparing it to Java, Mono seems to be more slick and definitely more 
easily integrated with Gnome. ;)
