This may actually be a generic X question, but I will ask here anyway.
The question concerns regions and can they be used under Linux/X to have
"odd" shaped windows.? You know like some of the skins for Windows
Media Player.
I believe in Microsoft .NET it is the Control.Region class and in
straight Windows API it is AddRectRegion(), or something like that.
It works by supplying the bitmap that contains a chrome color that is
transparent an allows tha background to show through. Plus, any mouse
activity in the transparent area, clicks or movement, go through to the
background. whether it is the desktop or another app.
Is this possible in any shape or form? Even if it is not a mono/GTK#
solution.
