hello! Thomas, am very sorry. But the reason why your program fails with the Realize handler is complete my fault. Completely my fault. I was returing a pointer to a pointer, instead of the pointer itself. A fix has been commited to CVS, and I am now using it in my own project. I feel very sorry for the waste of everyone's time.
