[Glade-users] widget adapter class in python

I have built a custom widget in python and can include it with the glade UI.
Is it possible to write a widget adapter class in python?
meaning I want to be able to change the display of this widget when
a user selects different options in the glade UI editor.
I see on the Internet it used to be.

I am using glade 3.6.7
