[Glade-users] HELP: Having an issue with GnomeCanvas

May I suggest using cairo instead of Gnome canvas? It is just an
opinion, but I'd rather not make application that dependent on Gnome
libraries unless it specifically targets desktop. Besides I think the
trend is to move everything possible to GTK, so it is a good chance for
Gnome canvas to become deprecated. Take a look at
