Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone had any experience in getting a perl script
that calls Gtk2::GladeXML to be executed by the mod_perl Apache module.
'Normal' Perl scripts work no problem with my setup, hello_world.pl
works fine in a browser ( firefox ).
My test Glade Gtk2 perls script works fine from the command line, but
when I try and execute it as a CGI script I get some strange error
message and nothing is displayed.
/var/log/apache2/error_log : Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display:
localhost:13.0 at
/usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.10.0/if86-linux-thread-multi/Gtk2.pm line
64.
The execution of the perl gtk2 script hangs on this line > use Gtk2
'-init';
I would be very thankful for any help.
My System:
OpenSuSE 11.0
apache 2.2.8-28.4
mod_perl 2.03.99-46.1
perl 5.10.0-37.4
libglade 2.6.2-93-1
Glade 3-3.4.5
gtk2-gladexml 1.007
Regards,
Stephen Griffin
