Hi,

The problem was that
    libgnomeui-2.0.5-lpt.1.i686.rpm
was not installing any libgnomeui-2.0.pc file.

I googled and googled and finally learnt that
I had to install:
    libgnomeui-devel-2.0.5-lpt.1.i686.rpm
also. That solved my problem.
