I've only recentily started messing with timeout fuctions so...
I thin the problem is in the gpointer(widget). Try just widget. Aslo I thin
there needs to be somethig in the prototype.
Try gint send_expose_event (gpointer * widget);
Here is the sode I used. I was making a clock for a computer game.
prototype:
gint forward(gpointer app1);
To call it I used...
play1 = gtk_timeout_add(1000, forward, app1)
