[forms-devel] Build difficulty with Xamarin.Forms.CarouselView

Hello All,



I am really keen to contribute to the Xamarin.Forms.CarouselView project (
https://github.com/xamarin/Xamarin.Forms.CarouselView) but I am having some
trouble.



I am on the master branch and having difficulty building it. I have been
following these instructions: https://github.com/xamarin/Xamarin.Forms.
CarouselView/blob/master/readme.md

I am able to open env.lnk and then open the solution. But when I try Step 7
in "Building for Release", I get errors and warnings and it fails to build
the nuget package. It is able to successfully do the Restore step when I
build though. I have tried both rbuild and build. I also don't change
anything in the solution and have tried with a fresh clone.



These are some of my errors:

1. AAPT : error : unable to open '..\..\..\..\..\..\..\bin\tmp\

Has anybody experienced this before? Please can someone help me understand
how to build?

Please also let me know if you need more information.



On another note, what are the reasons for having the CarouselView control
as a separate project and not in the main Xamarin.Forms? Is there a plan to
eventually add it to the main Xamarin.Forms?
